29th District State Senate Candidate Qualifies for CT Campaign Grant
We are proud to announce that Chris Reddy, the Republican Endorsed Candidate for the 29th Senate District is officially fully funded through the CEP grant process, receiving approval on July 3, 2024.
In the race to unseat the incumbent Senator Mae Flexer, we know that Chris Reddy is the strongest candidate with the most district support coming into the August Primary, as shown by his early success in fundraising and signature gathering.

For Immediate Release:
Chris Reddy is happy to announce his campaign for State Senator in the 29th District has received final approval for the Citizen’s Election Program Grants, which came from the State Elections Enforcement Committee on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. The sizable grants reflect the vast amount of bi-partisan support Reddy has been garnering in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut.
The Citizens Elections Program requires that each state Senate candidate raise $17,300 in small contributions and have at least 300 donors from the legislative district in which they are running. The approval of the application means the Reddy campaign has fulfilled the requirements and will now receive two separate grants, which will be used to fund campaign activities in preparation for the Primary in August, and the General Election in November.
Upon hearing his campaign was now fully funded, Reddy said “I am so grateful for the overwhelming support I have received from the residents of the 29th District. Most of the people who contributed to my campaign simply want me to fight for a safe, more affordable Connecticut for them to live in. We cannot continue to support policies that drive valuable businesses out of our state, policies that give criminals more rights than law abiding citizens or unfunded mandates that are bankrupting our small towns. I believe that unseating Senator Flexer is imperative to our quality of life here in the Quiet Corner”.
Reddy said, “With the fundraising part of the campaign complete, I can now focus 100% of my time on meeting and listening to the residents of Brooklyn, Canterbury, Killingly, Mansfield, Pomfret, Putnam, Scotland, Thompson, and Windham. I want to know what’s important to the people of the 29th, and how I can best represent them, their families and our collective communities”.
